SPRING IS HERE!

We awoke to a BEAUTIFUL, spring day here in Leavenworth, KS. We decided to celebrate the good weather by, going to Weston State Park, with Seth, Lindsay, and their crew. :-) We had an amazing day filled with TONS of goodness. :-) Here are a few moments from our day.

Shelby was so awesome and made me an excellent cup of coffee to take with me in the car.... YES, it is still coffee no matter how much cream and sugar I put in it. :-) We arrived before Seth and Lindsay so we decided to take a trip to the "scenic" overlook. I will say the compared to other scenic overlooks that I have been to in Ireland, New Zealand, Switzerland, Austria, Colorado... and soooo many other amazing places that it left a lot to be desired. :-)

I decided that mom should take a picture of us girls! Didn't she do a great job?!

My wonderful parents! Yes, they have jackets on because it was a little chilly this morning, but it warmed up nicely!

Now, Shelby really is NOT a woodsy person. Those of you that know her... well, you know just how true that statement is. I almost gave her a heart attack making her stand there for a picture.

PLAYGROUND TIME!!

Scenic overlook, take two! Now that the rest of the crew was here we went back so the little ones could see.

LUNCH TIME!!! It had been soooo long since I had eaten a pickle.... Man, oh man were they GOOD!! I can almost taste it now!

Yes, even with all of our thoughtful planning we forgot a spatula! So we used the ice scraper from the car.. HEY! It worked! :-)

After lunch we took the boys home for a nap, then when they got up we headed out to play volleyball, which sadly there are no pictures of, but it was amazing being outside in the sand with the sun on our faces!

Yes, it was a GREAT day! I hope there are many more days like this in the year!

Baby Blues

Lindsay and her kiddos are here today, and Andrea is wearing a favorite outfit that I bought her... So guess what?! WE TOOK PICTURES! :D Here are a few of my favorite ones.

Archie

I'm sure most of you have heard of my wonderful dog, Archie. I love this dog so much and He loves me too, which is so nice. :-) When I'm gone on trips he sits and mopes around and gives my family a run for their money. He is always so happy to see me when I get home. Except for the time He decided he was going to ignore me to punish me for leaving. He lasted a whole night! It was soooo funny.

Archie is a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier that we got from Nova Scotia almost 5 years ago. He is a medium sized dog, but he seems to think He belongs on my lap. ;-)

Archie, whose real name is Sir Achibald Forbes, (Yes, I've read too many G.A. Henty books) loves to sit outside and guard his backyard from any deer, squirrels, and the birds that have finally arrived with spring. :-)

He is such a sweetheart, with a mind of his own. Just ask me to tell about the story of him and the window sometime... GOOD GRIEF!

Standing on the shores of Ireland.... man, oh man, it was a great trip and an amazing feeling standing on this hill with the sound of the ocean in my ears and the wind on my face. I remember this feeling oh so well!

Meet Isabel

This is Isabel, when she first arrived, I thought she was going to be very shy... Then I pulled out some cute chairs, my bears, and my tub of girl stuff to play with her. However, the thing in my studio that she ended up enjoying the most was my LIGHT STAND! It was so cute, she kept playing hide and seek behind it! :-) Anway we had a delightful photo session in my studio, here in Leavenworth, KS. Here is a small taste of the fun we had!

I can tell she is going to love being a big sister soon!!!!

Sarah the Skin Care Specialist

I had the privilege of doing a shoot for Sarah's business last weekend. Sarah has a Skin Care business. So, if you are looking for a great facial, this is the lady to see in Leavenworth! Her business is located in this BEAUTIFUL historic home. She has decorated the inside BEAUTIFULLY!

This is my favorite part. The really warm towel. This is very soothing and relaxing, trust me.
