Reunion in PORTLAND

Last week I was in Portland, OR at the AMAZING IPS 10th anniversary REUNION!!! All I have to say is... you shoulda been there! :)
I didn't take many pictures as I was busy catching up with friends and enjoying them, but I thought I would share a few of what I have with you. God showered His grace on me and reminded me that my life is His and it is Him that I owe everything and that my life is His to do with as He will. It was a fantastic week filled with God's goodness. IPS has been instrumental in my life over and over again. If you are looking for photography classes I highly suggest going to one of their workshops!
My friend Caleb... I couldn't resist the reflection when he leaned up against it. :) So I went ahead and took a picture while we were all sitting here talking about DSLR Video. :)

The incredibly awesome Christina! She happens to be an IPS instructor, so if you go to a class you might get to meet her! :)

My friend and roomate for the week MEAGAN! :)

I loved this spot. There was a sense of peace about it. The trees with the sun streaming down, the water and city skyline in the background.... ah..... I wish you could have been there.

Another incredible instructor Will, with his lovely wife.

A new friend I met at the reunion! :) Such a sweet girl! :-)

^This picture I'm calling my "This could have been you if you had come to the Reunion" picture! :) GO Sara!

I froze my toes in the water, but I think it was worth it!

The amazing day spent on the beach.

This is one of my favorite parts of IPS. Getting to sit on the beach and praise GOD! God is so good and I love being with these people who all love God with all their heart and aren't afraid to live it! It was an AMAZING week, and I wish you could have been there, but before you start to despair... You can always come to the Reunion next year! :)

Why I love Kansas reason #1

Why I love Kansas. I've decided to start posting every once in a while on the things I LOVE about Kansas. They won't be listed in order of importance or anything simply as things strike me I want to be able to share with all of you what I love about Kansas. However, I will be starting this first one off with the most important reason of why I love Kansas.

Why I love Kansas reason #1
-
-
To start with I would like to share a few verses that I dearly love.
-
-
Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails. ~Psalm 19:21
-
-
A man's steps are directed by the Lord, How then can anyone understand His own way? ~Psalm 20:24
-
-
But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purpose 0f his heart throught all generations. ~Psalm 33:11
-
-
-
These three verses mean a whole lot to me, for they point out that God is in control and HE has PLANS for US! How amazing is that?! It also points out that we may have plans... but it's going to be God's plan that come to pass and that succeed and we might not even understand it at all!
-
-
Next, I am reminded of God's deep and powerful love.
-
-
Your love O Lord reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the great deep. O Lord, you preserve both man and beast. How priceless is your unfailing love! ~Psalm 36:5-7
-
-
-
This is an awesome reminder that God loves us, and that His love is so vast that we can't even begin to understand it. We catch but a glimpse of His mighty love for us.
Alright, with all that in mind. I will share a secret with you. I did not want to move to Kansas last year. I had so many other plans. It took me a while to realize that God had different plans. He was so gracious in walking me along and clearly showing me that KANSAS is where He wanted to send my family. Therefore since I know that HE has plans for me and that He LOVES me so much I decided that I had to trust that His plans were best for me.

So the number one reason why I love Kansas???
God brought my family and I here, and it is part of HIS plan for us. :)

My amazing family whom I love so incredibly!

My sisters and I. from left to right it is Me, Shelby (who is sooo amazing and who I am missing right now horribly), Joanna (12), Leah (7),Lindsay (fixing to be the mother of three), and Victoria (14). Words can not describe how I feel about these girls. If you knew them you MIGHT understand! :)
Last, but not least my amazing Mom and Dad, who celebrated their 27th anniversary this year!!! I love you Mom and Dad!
