Cowgirl MOLLY!

I had a very fun studio shoot with this sweet little girl. Growing up I had a red pair of boots that I just LOVED playing with... So it was a ton of fun to photograph a little girl who also deeply loved her boots. Of course she assured me that pink boots and her hat were MUCH better then red. :-)

SNOW!

I was at my sister's house when KS was finally pounded with snow. Lindsay and I bundled the boys up so they could go outside to play with their Dad! :-) I knew the boys wouldn't last long in the cold snow, so instead of taking the time to bundle myself up... I grabbed my camera threw on a pair of shoes and rushed outside to capture their time outside! (No, I didn't even grab a coat... crazy photographer!) Below are a few of the highlights.
Houston was NOT sure about all the snow and did NOT want to brave it. So he spent a LOT of time standing there like this. :-)

The one time he braved facing the snow.... He did just that, he fell face down in the snow. Poor little fella!

That's okay, helping Dad makes it ALL better!

Jackson on the other hand, couldn't get enough of the snow on him to make him happy.

I'm still not sure what all the laying in the snow was all about, but he sure did have FUN!

My Many Blessings!

My family has a tradition of attending the Christmas Eve Candle light service at the Chapel on post. My oldest sister Lindsay hadn't been able to go since getting married, and really wanted to take Seth and her kiddos. So this Christmas Eve it finally worked out for all of us to go, and it was a special time. Before leaving for the service I was able to get some family pictures for them. Enjoy!
Andrea and her Daddy! SO precious! :-)

The adventurous, fun loving Jackson!

Houston, the cuddly sweetheart!

The dynamic DUO!

Such a great family! :-) I love them lots, in case you haven't been able to tell!

We decided to snap a shot of all of us before we left. My studio room and backdrop are a little small for everyone, but I like it anyway! :-) Perhaps because this picture is plum full of people that I love dearly, so it is a special reminder of the MANY BLESSINGS that God has given to me.

Mortensen Family

The week of Christmas I had a shoot with this sweet family. It was so nice to see another family with ALL girls!!! :-) I remember growing up in the Military, my house was always called the "5 girls house" all the way up until Leah was born then we became the all girls house, I guess people decided to stop counting. :-) Here is a collage I put together of this great family! Enjoy!

Darian

A week and a half ago I did this Senior shoot, and now that Christmas is over I am busily editting and posting! Darian had planned on it being an in studio shoot, but when Darian arrived I asked if we could take a couple outside when we were done with the studio shots. It wasn't as cold as it had been, and not as cold as it has been ever since. Darian was very nice and braved the cold for TEN minutes for me. I am SOOOO glad she did because those were very easily my favorite images!
This is my favorite image by far! :-) I was editing this image and my little seven year old sister, Leah, says "WOW! she has BEAUTIFUL eyes!" This made me smile because I told Darian several times during the shoot that her eyes were magnificent!

Feeling the drama?! Yes, I had a lot of fun on this shoot! It's amazing how much you can do with 10 minutes!

I love the feel in this one.

I hope you enjoyed this peek inside Darian's Shoot! Happy Monday everyone!

Merry Christmas from the Cowan Clan!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from the Cowan Clan to all of you! I pray that this Christmas finds each of you further on your journey with Christ then you were the year before. I know that for me and my family, this last year has been a long hard journey. However, it has been a good year that I wouldn't change for anything. God has brought us along and we have loved being on the journey WITH HIM! I pray each of you knows the joy that comes from being on the journey with Christ leading the way. If not, may you take the time this Christmas season to reflect on the TRUE meaning of Christmas... A selfless Saviour coming down to be born in a lowly manger. Living so that He could take all of our sin upon Himself. Ultimately laying down His life for ours and giving us the gift of eternal life. He is my guide and stay. I find great comfort knowing that I am not alone, He is with me always, and will be with me till the end of time. Nothing is ever too great or too hard for Him. Plus, nothing is ever too small to bring to Him in prayer. He is not only my redeemer, but also my constant friend. I pray that you have the peace and joy that He came bringing, and that He is your dear friend too!

Merry Christmas,

Kristina
