Logan's one year portraits

So I was doing lot's of computer work today when I stumbled across these photos... I realized that I never did a post of my fantastic day with Logan from earlier this month! So I thought I would rectify that by posting them today. :-) Some of you may remember Logan from his 6 month old session! 

Okay, this little man... was a delight to photograph. We had so much fun playing together. I mean, look at the thumbs up he's giving me! 

TOUCHDOWN! If you remember from his previous session... he is a  sports fan! ;-)

Oh, and here he is acting like a little model all cool and relaxed. (cracks me up!)

AND HERE WE GO! ALL SMILES! Actually laughing at his Daddy here... can't say I blame you Logan.. =D

Dark Angels Recipe

Okay, so technically these are coconut macaroons.... HOWEVER, Shelby insists they be called "Dark Angels" So my family has started calling them that. :-) I got this recipe from a dear friend of mine and EVERYONE loves these things! So I thought I would share it with all of you! 

Ingredients needed:
3 egg whites
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 - 2 C coconut
1 tsp vanilla

Chocolate sauce for topping (Optional) :
any chocolate sauce recipe you can think of will work just fine, but mine  is
Melted butter
chocolate chips
a couple tbsp of powdered sugar
a tsp vanilla
a dash of cinnamon

Recipe:
In electric mixer beat egg whites till you have soft peaks then add sugar 1 tbsp at a time. Continue beating until you have very stiff peaks. Fold in coconut and vanilla. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350* for 20 minutes. If your cookies are smaller... try halfing the time required.

Cool cookies and then drizzle chocolate sauce on and ENJOY!

I KNOW a cookie that easy... shouldn't taste that good, but it does! Try it out and let me know what you think!

Locks of Love

Two of my sisters have been growing their hair out for a long long time. Finally, right before Easter Sunday they decided it was long enough to donate their hair to Locks of Love! I'm so proud of these girls. :-) They were so happy to be able to give something so special and personal to a complete stranger. The selfless joy that comes from giving with no gain to oneself. 

Anyway, I thought I would post pictures of Leah and Joanna with their new hair cuts. :-) 

Leah's hair had been down to her waist, now it's more of a shoulder length style. 

This one makes me sigh and feel old! Yes my baby sisters are ALL growing up, getting older, and moving on with life! 

I had to have a full length image of Joanna, because I just LOVE her sunflower skirt!

Meet Zoey

This is my sister's sweet puppy, Zoey, I thought you all might enjoy getting to see her.

I have to ask you though... Does this look like a bunny rabbit killer to you???? Does IT?! I didn't think so either, but apparently Zoey decided to try her hand at it this week and deposited the poor head on our back porch! :-/

My sweet sister, Victoria, made the sweet little animal outfits for me to use. Thank you VICTORIA! I LOVE THEM! I think the Pink Turtle is my favorite, but the very hungry caterpillar and the ladybug turned out nicely too!

I think this little girly is gonna keep her momma BUSY! I don't know of another one week old baby that I've seen pick her own head up like this before!

Inspiration Monday! Plus Andrea and Zoey!

I know it's just supposed to be an Inspiration Monday post today.... However, I have these adorable pictures of my niece Andrea and Zoey that I just can't wait to post... SO I'm combining the two and posting BOTH! :-)

Andrea's mommy is soooo talented and made this amazing dress for her to wear. Isn't it too adorable?! For those of you who are wondering... We are hoping to have a post on Maggie up Wednesday or Thursday so stay tuned! :-)
